Pourritures nobles

During the 2020 lockdown, under the impossibility to create outside, I decided to start a series of pictures showing the passing of time on objects, plants and people in the simplest formal way possible. Natural lighting and simple shades. Bright sunshine, grey shadows, whatever the day brings is a part of the story. And the backdrop is a simple antique linen sheet, with its folds and creases, getting stained as days go by. Like life under lockdown. A trace of the strange time we are living. A time that contracts and dilates as the days go by, following our obsessions, habits, boredom or enthusiasm. Time rots everything, so it can be reborn and create something new, like noble rot.
