In Northern Denmark, on the peninsula of Vendsyssel, the configuration of the land makes it particularly vulnerable to harsh winds and destructing waves, and climate change only accelerates the process. The land is being swallowed at incredible speed by the sea, to the point villages that once were hundred of meters from the shore are now disappearing in the waves.
The land is like a treadmill, running to the shore, the sea a living beast eating up the coast. The breath of Leviathan, the mythological snake that announces the end of the world, blows fiercely from the sea.
